====== Transaction is showing Hard Decline ======

Sometimes when attempting to charge a customer, the transaction will fail with a **Hard Decline** message.

Usually we can resolve this by re-running the transaction through another merchant account. Do not ask the customer to notify their bank!

If you encounter this:

1.  Let the customer know you will [[general:managing_call_backs|call them back]].

2.  Notify management.
